Ya I did , again he should try removing the micro SD and either change it or format it .
I have 2 DStwo cards and one of them acted the same way , I changed the SD card and that fixed it for me.

[...]I tried several formatting iterations, including windows default (I know, not recommended, but I had tried everything by this point). I also tried the Panasonic formatter, using both quick and rewrite options several times.
I tried multiple SD cards, including non-hc cards.[...]

Here are the results of a quick test I did using 7 verified roms. No luck...I will verify the results on the DS Lite. Sorry about the formatting below, it seems that my tabs did not space correctly.

Code:
ROM CRC - Region Result

Aladdin 0FC3 (Europe) Freezes @ Capcom logo
Breath of Fire 0B11 (USA) Freezes @ Squaresoft logo
Chrono Trigger 788C (USA) Freezes after pendulum sequence
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy 6DC9 (USA) Freezes @ Tecmo logo
Super Mario All-Stars AA5C (USA) Freezes @ transition from title screen to game select
Super Mario World A0DA (USA) Freezes after selecting '1 player'
Super Metroid F8DF (Japan, USA) Freezes @ Nintendo logo (CPU @ 340MHz)

ok, tried lolSnes, Oddly enough, this one seems to work better than CATSFC (at least for Aladdin). Aladdin ran for about 6 seconds before an error was reported and the system froze.
Super Mario World froze at the intro (Welcome! dialog). The other roms freeze upon initial run.

I will try the cheat system for DS roms and get back to you. Perhaps the enhanced scds2 functions utilize the onboad CPU

EDIT: The free cheat feature works on DS roms, its a cool feature, reminds me of the old game-hack memory editor

Your card is defective it's as simple and plain as that. Imo there’s no need to try anything else and all of these tests that you're doing are a waste of time and useless (no offence). I just got my DSTWO 3 days ago and it plays snes/gba games "almost" flawlessly. I ordered mine from Digitopz though. Well there is one thing though, maybe your snes/gba players are plugged in the wrong way. If you don't have the folders in the right spots then the programs will malfunction or not work (i learned that the hard way). Good luck! i hope i didn't offend.

lolsnes runs in ds-mode, its a ds homebrew, it has nothing to do with the on-board cpu/ram. if the roms fail there and also in the scds2 snes emus, i would start to blame the roms. please test real time save and slow-motion on a handful of ds games. if those work i would really take a closer look at those snes roms.

As evidenced by #3 and its crash due to "Unknown instruction exception", I believe the on-board CPU of your DSTwo is faulty. There is absolutely no reason why it should be unable to execute "LUI $19, 0x800", an instruction that puts 16 bits into a register. It doesn't even access any RAM.

The menu in CATSFC and TempGBA runs with the on-board CPU at 60 MHz. The defaults during a game, however, are 396 MHz for CATSFC and 360 MHz for TempGBA. Try running a ROM under TempGBA at 240 MHz: Load up the game, immediately tap the screen and go into /Options and set the CPU frequency to [0] 240 MHz.

As for DS homebrew, well... if the on-board CPU is faulty, given that it controls the reading from the microSD card for the loading of DS homebrew files, it may pass corrupted data back to the DS for execution. Once it's in, though, if it was read correctly, it'll run correctly until the end.
