ok i have a tough decision to make my r4i recently broke and i want to get another one and i cant decide between the ievolution or the dstwo becasuse of the features.

the ievolution has an onboard 8Mb of ram, can run in dsi-mode, (and only dsi-mode since my dsi got updated to 1.4.3 thanks to my sister)
but its buggy, hasn't been updated in forever.

the dstwo only runs in ds-mode but it has a built-in cpu and ram and i can watch movies without having to convert then for moonshell, gba & snes emulation

and these are general descriptions if you want the full description read below

The CycloDs ievolution
features at the time of release include: (more will be added with Firmware updates)
Cheat code support from Action Replay Data Base
Extra 8 MB RAM onboard
Upgradable Bootstrap so Nintendo can not block the cart
Full support or micro SDHC cards up to 32 GB and microSD up to 2GB
Supports Wii Connection for games
Slow Motion for games
Real Time Save and Restore as seen on the R4i RTS cards
USB Reader / Writer + special firmware upgrade module in the package
Download play support so you can share games over WiFi
Multi Language Operating System and interface

iEvolution will include 8 MB of on-board buffer memory for speeding up file access speeds, which is four times larger than what we had on the CycloDS Evolution which came with just 2 MB.

DSi firmware updates from Nintendo will not be able to block iEVO, because the flash cards boot ROM is upgradable and cart comes with the upgrade module (the circular puck like adapter with a USB plug and a slot for DS cart). And lets not forget that the iEvolution comes with all of the other amazing features that CycloDS Evolution had, including the Enhanced in-game menu and other exclusive features.

Supercard DSTwo, the iEvo has been dead for close to a year now, where as the Supercard DSTwo doesn't really even need an update most of the time.

Thanks
You forgot a Supercard DSTwo feature, the on-the-fly AP patching.
Really all the DSTwo is missing is a good SDK and being fully open-sourced.

The movie player is so-so it's not bad, it is the best for the DS by far though

The fact that you shouldn't be watching movies on a 256x192 screen aside, I don't see how it'd be any better then a properly-converted .dpg movie, MoonShell is pretty solid and I think that the DSTwo's main advantage is the extra CPU which allows better emulation capabilities rather then video playback, seeing that any random smartphone does it better anyways.

IIRC it's now out and all...but it was using the old devkit. Pate updated it so that it can compile with the latest I think...but he wasn't planning on continuing and fixing everything (something about broken sound...maybe?).
Using his words:
Code:
Source code for the SuperCard DSTwo SDK 1.2 NDS side (firmware), suitable for
building with a recent DevKitPro version. The original sources released by
SuperCard need a very old DevKitPro version to build. NOTE!
This is not a complete implementation, only a (mostly) working starting
point for your own enhancements!
