Hacking DSTT still getting worked on?

I don't think it's a really big deal, but when I first got the card, I bought a 2GB SD micro. When I put all the data files, there were no cheats on the games. After my 2GB card was full, I decided to get another 2GB. I downloaded the TT data again from the website and this time it came with cheats.

Instead of coming with an empty cheat file, it came with a file full of cheats!

Most likely a 0byte cheat file. Maybe your download was corrupted or your cheat file was broken. DSTT hasn't had an update in quite a long time, probably dead. You can use the unofficial one though.

Yeah, but the cheats are held inside the TTMenu folder (think that was the name) in a usrcheat.dat file. The first time you used it, the file may have been either corrupted or you just didn't write it for some reason. You need that file present for cheats to show up.

the OP probably reasoned that that DSTT team are still working on their product since it came with a more updates cheat file. But yet again he/she maybe wrong, since there must have been an error from before i.e. DSTT have always included cheat files.

As for the topic itself, were DSTT is sort of dead, i mean if an update doesn't show by the end of this year, then im just going to loose all faith in them.

There last update was in January they are officially dead. But I don't get it if they are dead who makes there cards? Same goes with R4.

You can't say they're officially dead. If they're still manufacturing cards, they're obviously not dead.

The genuine R4 team are dead and I believe there isn't any manufacturing of genuine R4 carts. The R4 cards that are being manufactured are clones.

The DSTT team look only half dead to me; going by what Skyline said their alive by them still making cards but I on't think we're going to see an update from them considering the last update was in January and we've heard nothing since.

They have a new update for firmware 1.4 but not on their site.

DSTT is now a cash cow
they will just continue the manufacturing part as long it is cashing in

anyway, they did the 1.4 update
so the team is not dead but firmware support is very dead

But you never know. Besides DSTT, they probably have things to do like work or study.
