Hacking DSTT old DS

I bought an used DS on ebay. My friend brought me his DSTT card. I pluged it to my console, but it does not recognize it. It sais there is no card inserted.

What can I do?

if you are sure that his dstt works then probably it's the used ds not working, check the pin of the slot 1 ( the slot where you insert game card ) if they are all ok or broken . if after this still don't works, maybe is an internal problem, maybe you can buy a new slot 1 replacement part and try to fix it but is not soo easy..
