Some things arent good for the ds some people say the ds is weak can be our you can program in a different way to find something look a like but still it cant and dso is famous enough

I just think these requests are an insolence and the poster has absolutely no idea for what the DS can do or how much work it would be to implent all that stuff into DSO.

@ deadmandion, I'll tell you what I think, you have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about. Applying most of your requests are very very close to impossible, and I suggest that you do a little research before you post and not just type what ever pops over your head.

Pretty much everyone has Moonshell, anyway, and that covers what media DSO lacks.
Also, anyone still having MSN troubles can search up dsorganize+bitlbee on Google.

Anyway, is it possible to release a basic upgrade to DSOrganize 3.2 with pka's fat fixes? Or do those same fixes have their own bugs that need to be alpha-ed out first?

i'd suggest jabber ds using an msn transport, due to the better interface as compared to bitlbee... see here for more details on how to set it up...

that being said... i'd be nice to see a jabber client integrated into dso eventually

Add repeat function to music player.

well I don't know what is possible with DS etc.

BUT I didn't said he MUST add all... they are only hints/tips.
He can pick out what he want. I don't need anything new on the dsorganise ONLY that the bugs removed . Example: Fatal error DSorganise don't get more free handels or something

The only bug I found on DSO v3.2 is, when creating a new .txt file, after saving it, then continue working on it, save and then exit, the .txt file is now corrupted or everything you have entered has been deleted.

I found a temporary remedy though, save the file, then when DSO prompts you to continue or exit, just exit, or just save when you're done.

Another one is that DSO sometimes freezes when loading, but this happens only once every 30 times or so I've loaded it. Does this count as a bug too?

Hey, I know I'm new to this forum and everything, but I am a real big fan of DSOrganize.
So I was wondering if you needed any more helpers on the project.
I would love to help on such a great application.
I am a very logical thinker and always managed to think of the obvious ways to do/fix things which usually works.
And if there is something that doesn't function properly I will work on it until it does! (or else it drives me up the wall)

Edit: oh and i got another request/hint/tip
Maybe add msn?? DS organise will become famous ^^
I could probably make a simple client with time though.
As DSOrganize already has SSL support because of the web browser.
It probably won't have any special features though.

I'm not sure about Microsoft Office files but I know OpenOffice.org just uses zip files.
And DragonMinded was going to make RTF support.
So if we made RTF support (which won't be to difficult) we could also add support for OpenOffice.org files.
And then maybe after a lot hard labor add support for MS Office files.

That would probably be easier then adding an MSN Messenger client.
Due to the fact that Microsoft is really strict and doesn't like unofficial clients being made.
So they do everything in the power to stop that from happening. Ha ha.
And there's a client for the DS anyway which proves that it is possible.

Edit:
I might also be able to update the browser as well.
Including support for more tags and maybe simple Javascript(Auto-Redirect/Reload).
(And who knows? Maybe some support for some HTML5. Ha ha.)

it's great to see another developer on the scene of this project! perhaps you want to pm heeroo or pka4916 direct to see how you can help? i've been seeing less of them on this thread of late...

This will be great a new developer and you have coding skills too.
I only now that we are busy with fixing bugs new things will come later because new things bring bugs with it too.

Ha ha, true that is.
That's is the only bad thing about updates.
A lot of the time not only do they fix problems the make more.

Err, since you can make a simple MSN client for DS...

Can you also make one for Yahoo!, if possible (since atYa's still not functioning or the developer stopped the project)?

MSN isn't that popular in here (Philippines) though.
tongue.gif

Since MSN is what the majority wants, then MSN it is. I'll just go to that corner and cry.

I think in the near future you neither get msn nor yahoo. Its just that they have all hands full with fixing. And as long as the basic stuff isn't fixed our new progger can do nothing.

Not being impatient or anything... but is there like a progress report or anything?
How much have you accomplished so far?

well, the alpha was supposed to be released around christmas for testing, but nothing heard so far. but anyway, patience is a virtue... no harm waiting a little for better work
