Hacking DSIWARE crashes when trying to install Luma

The previous owner had installed & uninstalled CFW – it was not the first timer GodMode9 was started on that console.

I assumed they made the NAND backup themselves. Nowhere was it stated that they didn't as far as I can tell.

Yes, I was wondering why it didn't ask for an essential back up when first opening it. Thanks for clearing that up!

Could you hint me in the right direction how to get the DSTT working? I already installed RetroGameFan's DSTT menu and Apache Thunder's slot 1 DS Launcher but I just get the error and system crash notification when opening the card on the 3DS.

... I think you need to do section 2 1 ... it was section 2 they must have updated it since I last looked

Slot 1 launcher is not enough to get that working because it's detected by the anti flashcart code in TWL_FIRM itself. But did you use DSTT_Launcher.rar
That one should work.

The only small thing: The last finalizing step 15. where I copy the SysNAND backup to my computer, the "essential.exefs" file is not present in the /gm9/out/folder

Is this a problem?
