Gaming DSi XL will not charge

Hi all, my DSi XL will not charge. I have opened the console and there is power coming through the charging socket when I check the pins with a multimeter.

When I try the XL with a fully charged DSi battery the XL works fine, but still will not charge.

Is there anything I am overlooking?

I cannot see anything visibly wrong on the motherboard etc.

Did you try a new charger? and maybe a new battery depending on how old it is...

I have tried a fully charged battery from another console and it powers on fine but will not charge.both fuses are ok.

I have also tried a different charger. No luck

I went ahead and replaced the charger socket and hey presto, its back up and running. thanks for the reply
