Hacking [DSi XL] Touch screen darker then top screen?

I just bought a new DSi XL and when I played the preloaded Brain Age I noticed that the touch screen was slightly darker then the top sccren. The difference wasn't extreme and when I played Metriod Hunters I didn't noticed it, but the screens in Brain Age are most of the time white and when one white screen is darker than the other it is easier to spot. I doesn't really bother me but when it's already broken "touch screen darker than it should be" than I want to exchange it. It would be nice if you could share the experince with your own Dsi XL with me and if your touch screen is slightly darker as well.

if you're talking colour-wise then it's just how the game is designed.
if you're talking about brightness you need to get a refund.

Mine is like this also. My girlfriend was so sweet and brought me one last week. However, I noticed that my touch screen is also darker than the top.

I was not sure if it is soppouse to be like this or not? You can notice it from when you turn the power on.

I don't know exactly what's causing it (if it is designed that way or if my Dsi Xl is broken) that's why I made the thread. I also noticed when I started the DSi Xl the first screen before you get into the menu is also mainly white and the white on the Top screen looks also different than the white on the touch screen. The white on the touch screen looks slightly yellowish. Again it is only slightly but one can see that the white on the top screen is not the "white" on the touch screen and I'd like to know if both whites should look identical or slightly differnt.

I also thought it could be because of a special coating of the touchscreen or a differnt type of screen to make it more durable that the coloers look slightly different.

i notice a difference from my top and bottom XL screens but its not a matter of brightness.

Both screens on my XL look the same. U should return it as soon as u can.

I have a Japanese DSi LL and I have never noticed a difference... maybe I just wasn't looking at it the right way...

My DSi wasn't like that, but the touch screen was WAY darker on my DS Lite.

Same here... I really want to replace the dark freaking bottom screen of my Lite...

AFAIK, there are two types of screens. The darker one is supposedly more resistant to scratches. I sincerely don't care. I really wish I could buy a screen that I am 100% sure is at least close to the tone of the upper one (mine is like 30% darker).

Your welcome Raccun, however, I was at work so I couldn't check at the time, but I was wrong. It is my top screen that is darker than my touch screen. The bottem screen is much brighter... Which is just wierd.

I traded it for another one at Saturn, they've seen that it isn't normal.

I might have to take mine back then maybe also. It also froze a couple of times last night whilst playing a normal cartridge, but I am not sure if it was the game or the ds itself.
