Hacking DSI Ware downgrade advice.

I have already done the downgrade to a n3ds and im going to go from this n3ds to another. the id that i bought legends of exidia on is still on this 3ds as well as the game. when i enter the game after replacing the public.sav (checked and replaced twice) i just get a black screen. even after deleting the game and redownloading it from the eshop its still just a black screen without overwriting the public.sav. can anyone help?

Does other DSiWare or DS games work? Are you using a boot animation or boot manager? You're not using emuNAND are you?

im on gateway emunand. and yes a boot manager config for it.
