Is it just me or browser is just as slow as the Opera DS browser. It needs loading every few seconds when trying to scroll down. BTW Image quality is set to default.

Any ways to speed up the browser?

Thanks

This browser is really great!!!

I'm looking forward to the next version

Hi everybody,

I try to use DS Hobro throught my wrt54g with DD-WRT. My CWF works very well, with all my wi-fi games.
Could you please help me to find a solution to my problem.

Thank you.

Best regards from France.

so has anyone go this to work with the g6 lite?

edit: nevermind, i got it to work. do fat, no trim.

though it's pretty useless, i can't seem to go far from my router without it disconnecting, it frequently crashes for no good reason. and i don't seem to be able to enter text into box, so i can't search sites, log into sites, post at message boards etc.

what exactly IS your problem?
also, like I said, try to connect several times.
for some reason the wifi lib won't initialize properly... sometimes.
So just try and try again until you make it...

another thing: it will use your 1st wifi configuration slot.
Commercial games may use the 2nd or 3rd config slot, but homebrew can only use the first one as far as I know.

Yes Costello, I know homebrew can only use the first one. It's a slot 2, M3 MicroSD lite dshobro.ds.gba.
My config
PC: Windows XP SP2 with Firewall disabled, port UDP 9000 is open. IE7
DS Lite with M3 Lite (slot2)
WRT54G with DD-WRT 23sp3 and my WFC works fine with MKDS and other wifi games.

Schema:

Routeur connected to the internet
No DHCP, IP forced

PC----Ethernet----WRT54G routeur----Wireless----DS Lite

DSHobro freeze on initialising WFC

Has anyone been able to get this to work on a M3 SD slim yet? I tried running the .nds file but it wont run, but the .ds.gba file seems to boot.
I'm using IE7, and I have correct the IP and everything on it, but I still get the fatal error message telling me to restart the ds.
I also have the correct Wifi settings on my ds because I can connect to my router with other games.

EDIT:

I didn't know this. I just changed my settings and the browser still doesn't work.
Anyone else have a suggestion?

EDIT #2:
I typed the IP address of my router instead of the computer that the server is running on and now this program works fine.

Read the whole topic.

I did. I have even followed your short instructions to make DSHobro run faster but it still seems to have no effect.

They help a little bit, but I still can't figure out how Costello gets his to load so Fastttt on his videos.

I can stand next to my router and still not be as fast.

i'm using it with M3 Perfect MiniSD v1... and a chinese kingston 1 gb miniSD.
A lot of time worked very well. But i had several errors:

when the program tries to connect with WFC, sometimes both screens go black and i have to restart my DS.
Or, it connects ok, but when i tried to connect to several websites(even if i loaded them before) and i get a fatal error os something related to page info...
For example, i tried to connect to DSFanboy and it did it OK...but a few minutes later i tried to enter again and i got the fatal error...

This is a really good homebrew. My favorite. I have been waiting for a homebrew browser for a long time and this is really good. Speeds are incredible most times and only encountered a few bugs.

Oh and Costello is a Harry Potter fan, so he is good in my books.

it doesn't play videos in metacafe =(

that's a wonderful browser. Dragonminded got competition.

Um... If you read the info about the browser you would have realised it can't and plus I doubt that the DS is even powerful enough to stream video from a webpage as it can't even run Flash (Looks at the Opera Browser).

Am I the only one who has noticed that this runs as fast as Costello's video only on a laptop.

This is so much slower on a desktop server.

Why is the laptop so much faster?
