I haven't had any probs with playing "nuked" games before, so can't see why that would stop you.

Depends on the nuke reason, if it's nuked for "fake" or "non working" I imagine you'd have a problem playing it than if it was nuked for "not final" or "dupe"

In the case of a bad header it could be that the release group altered the header to include their group name or something (unlikely seeing as it's XPA) in which case it would probably still work but wouldn't be accepted as a proper release because it's been modified, or a bad dump could have rendered the header corrupt in a way which scrambles the icon and game name or prevents the DS from booting the game. In this case, it's the latter.
