Hey guys! Are there any homebrew that plays the tv? i just wonder, if it can browse internet, play music and videos, can the ds also play TV? It would be real cool to have one, thanks if any body would help me find one!

No there isn't one....Because you need a hardware too, not just software..

You would need a cart with antenna and board that would encode the signal..
There is DS TV in Japan, and it looks damn good, it's a digital one, not analog..But it was never released outside Japan..

But the US now has digital so it'd work now?
Well I think the digital signals in Japan are different, not sure about if they are different to the US but I did know someone who imported this and he couldn't pick up any digital signals here.

I don't think we'll see it come out elsewhere, not with this DS anyway.
 
You got that right. Calling it DS TV I thought it was the name of an existing app, I didn't even bother to read the topic I was just scrolling posts looking for a link. XD

Obviously it's not really... useful in mobile situations where you'd have to move around constantly. I'd question the availability of channels as well. Only in Japan of course.
 
Actually, digital broadcasting means that you get perfect picture as long as there is at least a little bit signal, so basically, it works while moving, too, but you have to be in a reach of a signal..
