Okay I have a new dsi and an r4i card I have never set it up for the general wifi connection to my computer. I have no intentions of ever going to the dsi store. My question is.....If i go to internet settings to set my dsi to the wifi will it have to download the new firmware update? And If I'm playing other people in multiplayer games will it have to download the new firmware? Thanks.

I don't think that it will update the firmware for your dsi. There is a button specifically for updating the software so as long as you don't touch that button you should be fine.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet
