Hacking DS Micro - will it ever exist?

There won't be a DS Micro. Nintendo saw how much the GB Micro failed, so they won't try to redo the DS again. The DS lite is fine as it is, anyway.
Plus, the DS itself only has two to three years left before it gets replaced by the next Nintendo handheld.
And even if they did make a DS Micro, I wouldn't buy it, unless I suddenly became rich or something.

I'm sorry, what? The GB Micro was extremely popular considering it was the 3rd revision (4th if you really wanna count the GB Player) of the same system.

True, it did do well considering that it was the third iteration of the GBA, but compared to other reiterations of Nintendo handhelds it didn't do so well. This is because the average gamer will most likely buy one to two versions of the same system,. Most won't buy three, which is why the Micro did not do very well by comparison.
I don't know anybody with a GBM besides myself, and the only reason I have one is because I won it in a Pokemon tournament (I got second place, boo...One win away from getting a free trip to NYC D:)

The GBA micro is just too damn small. The DS Lite is already somewhat cramping to hold for long periods of times for certain games, a micro version would be worse.

gba micro is sick, but i think nintendo definatley hurts its image when it releases 4 revisions of the same product in a 5 year lifecycle. If anything, they definatley know how to pissoff gba owners.

I just bought my ds lite and i gotta say i find that my hands are too big and it can get uncomfortable to press all the buttons with such little room.

The gameboy pocket was the second version of the Gameboy. The Pocket is to the Gameboy as the DS Lite is to the DS (lawl analogy thing).
I find that the DS Lite is practically the perfect size anyway. It fits well in my pocket, It fits well in my hands...THe only thing I kinda don't like about the Lite, which has nothing to do with the size and is a problem with the DS as well, is that there is no physical light adjustment button on the thing (Like there is on the PSP and SP). I was hoping for that, but oh well...

i actually expect ds lite had a larger screen like psp, it will still be portable, but can make game experience much sweeter.

The next DS could do with that, and a more powerful processor, and a better mic. That'd be enough.

I'd also be willing to bet that the next psp has a touchscreen. Even ipod has gone that direction.
