This is the scenario:

My DS Lite has never been dropped, broken, gotten wet, etc. I have a hard shell around it so it is always protected, the screens are protected as well. I have only used it with my DS Simply.

All week I had been playing with my DS with no problems. On sunday I played with it for like 30minutes, then turned it off, and tucked it in my backpack. It must have stayed off for 2hrs more or less. Then I turned it on again and it flashed the green light of power and turned itself off. It didnt last 2secs.

I have been trying to turn it on since. When i tried to plug it to the wall charger, I noticed the orange light flashes for a moment but then shuts down. there are no other visible signs. Regardless i remove the simply ds or put a regular ds cart it does the same.

I am trying to figure out if this is a battery problem or if my DS is plain dead.

Can someone help me sort it out before i go and make another investment?

Thanks!

Kildjean

Sounds like a blown fuse. My brother blew my DSL fuse when he was messing around with my flashcart and inserted it backwards, meh. There are tons of other reasons fuses can blow though.

If you know how to solder, you can open it up and bridge that fuse.

How did he manage that? he must have inserted in backwards then hit it with an hammer.

I have no clue, all I know is he managed to blow a fuse with an M3 Perfect
