Hacking ds lite touch screen replacement calibration help!!!

I have a few new ds lite touch screens(white border ones), one I got to work, but barely. The other two I'm having the same problem, but it won't calibrate. I attach it to the ds lite, I double sided tape it down what seems to be proporly lined up, then when I turn the ds lite on, 3/4 of the screen is working enough to where I could calibrate it, but the lower left 1/4 of the touch screen on both will not calibrate for anything....I've tried moving it up, down, left, right, holding it off the tape and trying to calibrate, everything, even trying to alter the way the ribbon goes in the clip! Nothing will work(even on different ds lite boards)... Does anybody have any help on this issue?

The touch screens have failed - this is a common issue that one part fails to work - replacements are $3-$4 just buy new ones.
