Hi All,

Been having problems with the touch screen on my DS lite recently...just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or has any solutions for me

Problem is that the entire right side of the screen doesn't seem to be calibrated correctly. The left side is fine, just the right side. The cursor is always to the left of wherever I am really pointing to. For example, if I point to the very edge of the right side, the cursor is actually about 5-7mm away from the edge. The problem is only on the horizontal plane, not the vertical.

I've tried using the calibrate option but it never works. Every time I click on the 3 boxes it just starts all over again. Obviously it doesn't think I am really clicking on the boxes.

I've tried cleaning the edges with a tooth brush with no luck....

Makes playing touch screen very very difficult and not fun.

Anyone have any ideas? It's already out of warranty.

Oh it's not the 'grid type' touch screen, it's the other type. My DS fat with the grid type touch screen still works perfectly.

Yeah, but read the conclusion, you can see that it's not the best solution...... it works, but it's not perfect. And I reckon that it's not easy job to do.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Too thin, not the same thickness as the OE NDS touch screen. Acts up from time to time, not as precise as the OE touch screen.

Bottomline: Not an exact replacement. It 'works' but its not as good as the OE unit when it comes to accuracy and since its a little thinner it does not really fit as well as it should. So close...yet so far ;-)

The replacing of the part is actually pretty easy.

The quality, I agree with you. I just got a replacement bottom tft screen and replaced since mines was broken. I don't know if it's just this one, but the screen looks like it has a bad refresh rate or something. I see lines going through it.... I'm contacting them for an exchange, hopefully the next one will be better.
