Crystal Clear SHOCK! replacement shell

despite al the bad things i heard about it,
i don't think it's that bad.

it's a bitch replacing it though.
I broke the on/off switch while taking the original case of.
2 hours of trying to fix it with super glue later,
i'm back in business

This almost degrades the DSL imho. But dont worry bout our opinions.

How long did the total process take? Any tips for anyone else looking to replace their case? (aside from the naysayers saying "tip: dont do it") hehe

Some tips:

Wash your hands before u start to avoid fingerprints.
Don't be drunk, u might break something. (i did

)
And be patient, very patient.
It took me about 2 hours, but it should be possible in 1

I want a clear shell SOOOO badly, whats up with the canadian retailers not stocking them?

Total flashbacks to the days of the PLAY IT LOUD series gameboys, and the fact that some people think its ugly and isn't what the DS was supposed to look like only makes me want it more. Thanks for the pics, looks very very hot.

PS. your B button is backwards

I think it looks totally hawt. I treasure my DS Lite too much to even think about attempting this myself though, which I regret T_T

i'll have to dissassemble it again to turn over the b-button.
considering the time it took to change the shell ,i think i'll just
leave it this way for a while

L&R buttons, the mic cable and running the wireless cable in back of the slot were the most difficult parts when i had to put the DS back together. The buttons Shock gives you are ALOT better than the official DS buttons, very soft and moveable.

it took me 3 hours to do mine. i broke the volume switch. i wasn't happy with the final product, so i sold it and bought a brand new white nds lite. to be honest, it wasn't worth the time or money and no one thought it was cool. haha.
