Gaming DS Lite ribbon cable replacement

Hello everyone. I need some help/advice regarding ribbon/flat cable replacement for upper lcd screen on ds lite. The cable is damaged, but the screen is still ok (not broken or something). I bought just the cable, but I don't want to mess up something before I checked with you guys here. I've been googling it for a while, however tutorial is nowhere to be found, just the ones for complete screen replacement (the easy way I suppose).
