I've recently become interested in buying the Ds iplayer card to emulate gba games. I'm a complete noob with ds homebrew so I'll list my questions/concerns.

Does having the current homebrew (For the dsi) matter?

How good is the emulator? My main concern is that it can play meaty games such as mother 3 without lag.

Are the other features good? It says it can play other file types too, but how well that works may be an issue.

Does it void my warranty?

Is there something better than this, but still capable of the same functionality? What is it?

btw, I'm familiar that it doesn't play actally gba games. I have most of my games in rom format already.

If I were you I would wait for the DSTwo as this is said to have a GBA Emulator ( Iplayer is supposedly made buy Supercard Team ) as well as being a fully functional flashcart and will play movies and music just like the iplayer, so basically the Iplayer and a Supercard DSONE combined with their newly made Firmware

If you have a Ds lite it would be better to get a slot 2 card. The Iplayer emulator has many problems. Otherwise you could wait for the new Supercard.

Yeah, but my point is to play it with my dsi. I sold my ds lite a while ago

Will do. And does using a flash card void my warranty? That's my main concern since that may influence my decision. And btw, nice avatar! I'm a One Piece fan myself.

Thanks. and I can see that you are by your name lol n no it wont void your warranty don't worry.

Cool, thanks! Let's just hope it's released in the next three months. I'm going to the US for a month, and since I live in Israel shipping it here would be a pain in the ass.

You could also play the GBA games on your pc ..

I can already play them on my wii so why would I play them on the pc? I'm looking for a more portable replacment that doesn't involve me lugging around a bunch of gba carts and playing my defunct gba sp. My dsi looks better and I would much prefer to have games in rom format so I can switch on the fly. I'm probably just gonna wait for the dstwo. And NO, I do not have a laptop.

Wait SCDS2, I have the iPlayer and I'm not impressed with it thus far. cheats don't work for me, took ages to finally work the thing, some videos do not show up, music player is a waste of time and GBA emulater only plays a select few.
