Homebrew launched via another homebrew that loads nds (like DSI4DS, DSISION, moonshell, the original hbmenu...) cannot work with the dldi system anyway. So even if I fix the bug the homebrew will boot but without dldi access. And there is no way to fix this. But these kind of functionality are useless anyway, just boot your homebrew directly with nds-hbmenu/nds-bootstrap and it works..nds loading in apps like DSi4DS doesn't work. @ahezard is still fixing some bugs.
Also, I think TWLauncher will look good enough [emoji14]Homebrew launched via another homebrew that loads nds (like DSI4DS, DSISION, moonshell, the original hbmenu...) cannot work with the dldi system anyway. I just got the idea to try OpenTyrian DS...but sadly it doesn't appear to work. It begins to start, then promptly crashes (very obviously, with a big red Guru Meditation Error screen on the bottom screen).
I don't know if it would be helpful, but yeah...might as well.If you can get a screenshot of the error, it may prove to be helpful in getting it up and running?

Retail ROMs attempt to read from the Slot-1 card, and in the future, nds-bootstrap's SD engine will patch the ROM to read from SD card instead of the Slot-1 card.Quick question:
Why exactly is it that we can use this to load homebrew, but not ROMs? Is there a special encryption we have yet to break on commercial games?
lol this is my first time logging into temp for like 5 months or so, I kinda need to catch up.![]()

We're still quite far.Makes sense, as I remember everyone who said it would take a lot of work cited this reason.
Mind if I ask an estimate on the progress?

Yeah, I figured as much. Hopefully you guys can finish before the Switch hits the market.
One last question:
I have an original R4 flashcard, but no 2 Gb microSD, and no stores around me sell them anymore. Is it possible to use a special bootloader/R4 kernel to have it read from my 3DS SD?
My guess is no, but it may be possible.
EDIT- Yes, I know I can just buy one on Amazon, but I'd like to avoid it if I can.

Nope. Not possible.
Just grab one from Amazon? 2GB MicroSD cards are crazy cheap nowadays.
