Is Nintendo DS homebrew development dead? It will be sad if it is. just trying to confirm it. 3ds homebrew is alive but ds im not so sure

I think that no homebrew development is ever dead. But most DS programmers moved to the 3DS because there are many awesome homebrews for the DS but not so many for the 3DS.
