Wow, impressive! Nice work! I was curious about this post and opened to see it. I just replaced the flex cable of my very own Nintendo DS (phat, but different shell), so I had to disassemble all the things. I'm currently owning a CPU-NTR-01. I modded it a little, like flex reinforcement, shell upgrade (to make a NDSL stylus be ported), and also added and solded into it the original NDSL speakers. I tried battery mod too, but my used Nintendo DS Lite battery gives me about 5h and 40min of gameplay (with backlight on), just like the original new battery of Nintendo DS (phat). I removed the used speakers from an old USG-CPU-10 I owned (which was damaged). I permanently migrated to phat model for durability reasons and I'm amazed with it!
