Its not an ARPG its a DUngeon Crawler, second this is Wizardry 5 of the PC series. You dont really need a english patch to play it, the japanesse in this game pretty basic or use a faq for w5

I've just checked some online w5 maps and they bare no resemblance to the first level of this game. Are you sure this is a remake?

Wizardry 5 level 1 map

For a start, the DS maps are 22x22. The old Wizardry maps are far larger. I hope I'm wrong as it would be nice to use all the old FAQs,walkthroughs, maps in order to beat this new version.

How to play "Wizardry" on your DSTT and R4

1. Download Patch.rar and get a Patch.exe file from the RAR archive.

2. Drag your ROM and drop it onto the Patch.exe. That's all.

Note:
This path is not only for "Wizardry". "Wizardry" is one of game to be patched by Universal Child's Play Patch.

The file having the ".bak" extension is the backup copy of the original nds file.

Credit to Rudolph.

Can someone please upload the patch to Filetrip or Mediafire?

Thanks

The game is a remake of the first Wizardry game. Though the map of b1f looks similar, it's still the different one (and FAQs don't help too).

if this is old pc wizardry...woot!
font certainly looks similar too.

Yeah, Japanese keep getting Wizardries way beyond Wizardry 8. But that kinda makes me doubt this'll ever be released in NA... =/

Old school PC RPGs seem to have a very niche but strong following in Japan. Dark Spire is basically like the new Megaman game on the Wii, just like it used to be and designed to be insanely hard. Etrian Odyssey is very similar as well.

I kinda wish they'd redo some classics on the DS... I'd go for a Gold Box, Bard's Tale, or Ultima remake.
