Hey guys!

So I just randomly bumped into this question I'm about too ask you. I checked out the "download play" channel for the 3DS and noticed it had options for both 3DS and DS games.

Since the talking about how Big N is going to brick your 3DS if you use a flashcart, my question is:

Will the 3DS detect if the downloaded software or demo, that comes from a DS/DSL/DSi/XL, running a flashcart, notice that it's a pirated game?

For example: Mario party ds uses download play for multiplayer option, therefore the game only uses 1 game cart (or in this case, flashcart).

So I run the game from a DS/DSL/DSi/XL, send the game to a 3DS, accepts and then (possibly) run the game.

Again, I'm sorry if I'm being confusing, but will my 3DS be vulnerable to future updates (aka bricking :P) and will DS flashcarts download play work with a DS -> 3DS?

Thanks for any answer! :D

Nintendo will NEVER brick your console, no matter what kind of shenanigans you get into. It's all just a silly little rumor.

Your safe to do all kinds of stuff, flashcart or not. :)

It shouldnt detect it, i don see how its possible for it TO detect it, since it would have to be the other system doing the detecting while the 3ds does the downloading and playing. The 3ds side shouldnt know about it, and the dsi side will be the one trying to detect with firmware updates, but u shuld be good with a ds lite. (note its ok if that doesnt make sense i just ment to say that it shouldnt detect it)
