The game will be released in two versions: one using the animation, produced by Production I.G., and the other using the CG, produced by Shirogumi.

I just don't see the point in making the CG Version, first of all it looks bad with some of the characters. And second, it's totally out of place. I mean, the game is still sprites, if you're going to make realistic looking CG, why use a game that uses cartoony sprites and such?

I thought that the CG version would look terrible or chibi. But that actually looks acceptable.

Truth be told, it reminds me of Final Fantasy, which despite popular belief, isn't a terrible thing.
