It's still not as good as EBA in that EBA doesn't market to drunken potsmoking skater losers whose parents don't understand them and hang around at cheap concerts where the music's so loud you can't hear it and people are barfing on each other and groping trashy chicks and everybody's all shallow and superficial and stuff. This game's more for ghetto trash and doesn't have a valid aim other than the whole "all teenagers must have a guitar" spiel.
On the other hand, if you like what essentially amounts to meangingless repetition of touch screen poking and swiping, redundant music that MTV would play in the 90s, tattoos to cover up your insecurities, and stealing beer from your dad, then you'll love this game.
The touch screen controls are dodgy at best anyway. Best stick to vocals even if you think you can't sing, just laughing at the game is enough to hit about the right pitch you need, so you can save yourself the embarrassment of other human beings reacting to what the hell you're doing.
The character design has to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen though. Each of the characters looks like childlike drawings who in real life would be rejected from being white trash. There isn't one character who doesn't have the eight basic reactions to being stoned off one's ass. Choosing which disgusting douche you want to play as is perhaps the most difficult part of the game. That and listening to the irritating "OHH YEAHHHHH" sound when you tap sometimes.
This game's pretty optimistic, you already get to start off in "dad's garage". Dad doesn't need it because he's probably off at the local police station getting his driver's license revoked for vehicular manslaughter under the influence. Ahh, fathers, imposing their male will upon us like the military. What a swell guy.
Oh, and the sound quality's awful and it plays like those cheap knock-offs you always end up with that try to rip off of big-name titles. Forget third-party games, more like third-world.

Decent enough game I guess. It's nice you get to choose what instrument you want to play. It ain't no EBA 2 though.
Man! Those characters in the game look scroungy. That's the worst part, looking at those losers.
When you get that bonus combo thingy, what do you do with it, just leave it there or hit it at a special time or what?

I find it a shame that Konami set the ball rolling with for the instrument based rhythm games such as Guitar Freaks and Drummania and but ever since Guitar Hero and Rock Band, it was like they only just noticed that they were behind. I hope this game isn't an indication of what the console versions would be like. Everything about it screams "LOOK. I CAN BE GUITAR HERO AS WELL"
