ok I've played it and it definitely is a tad more forgiving. Notice the operative word "tad". It's not so anal about the stitching job I used to do. Let's just say it's turned down the diffuculty from an 9 to a 7.5 on a 10 scale. At least that's what I think after only playing the first 3 levels and about 3 weeks ago played the original version.

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden Black and the original Trauma Center are perhaps two of THE toughest games of all time. Even F-Zero GX is only like that in story mode or staff ghosts as opposed to its somewhat easier grand prix.

TMNT for the NES I would say is THE hardest game ever...

With the GameGenie on, w/ infinite health, getting to Shredder was still almost impossible.
