schach! like b'tach hehe
and yes it is german for chess -.-

So, now we know that the German language evolved from the Klingon language .. or was it the other way round?

Schach means King in Persian. Most of non-english countries call it that way ...
I can't write it so it'd be pronounceable in English.

In Polish, and I guess that in other Eastern-European languages as well, the word "szach" (the sz being pronounced as the English sh in "shot", and the ch being pronouned as a glottal "h", think heavy russian accents and the word "hard") is the equivalent of the term "check" used in chess.

That is actually interesting to me for some reason.

This is why I welcome multi culture.
