Not sure if anyone has said anything about this yet but Drivers Ed Portable for the DS is coming soon, I think it would be decent for all the younger users here GBAtemp.

Drivers Ed Portable allows teens worldwide to prepare for the written portion of their driver’s license examination, customized to the country, state or province in which they live. The game features two modes: Test and Train. Test mode includes sample tests for the written part of the driver's license examination for all 50 US states, 13 Canadian provinces and territories, as well as Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. User progress will be tracked, so the player will know where they need to improve their study in order to be successful in their actual test. Train mode will include three fun and educational mini-games targeted to new drivers.

Not much else about the game but I figured someone might be interested in this.

Though being published by JoWood and if I recall right a lot of the games they have released have been kinda buggy (PC games not sure about DS games.)

I have been driving for 6 months past my 16th birthday with a license and all I can say is this.

If you wanna learn to drive, you have to actually do it.
There is no way that a game can EVER replace on hand experience.

However, my cousin has failed his PERMIT test 3 times over. I'll definitely recommend this game to him for the sample tests. xD

This is not used to teach someone to drive. It is to help someone get through the written test. Which is needed to get a permit in most if not all locations. I know you have to take a test here.

Ooh, nice, if I had of got my permit at the proper time - I'd be getting this game the same day I got my regular, real license.

I believe this was released in France, before, also (the name slips my tongue, of course).

However, I don't think this will help me much - as like Mystik said, you can't get much driving experience from a handheld video game.

The application DS titles are neat, though, I'll give 'em that.

the UK EDITION is already out there its called Driving Theory Training #2607

and there was one out in FRENCH too so guessing DRIVERS ED will be the USA equivalent of these

Also I think it could be used for someone who is moving or traveling to another country to pick up the "rules of the road". As it does have many different locations all in one bundle.


Though I do not need it I will most likely check it out when it is released.

Woah, sorry about that. Totally missed that part. For some reason, I read it the first time as driving "test", you know, like a mini driving game.
