I had save games crash the game if I tried to put English letters in the Japanese version, otherwise I didn't have any problem making 30 edits using the save editor.

It's likely that you touched something you shouldn't, like if you played with the grottos info, make sure there's black numbers everywhere. If one of them has red letters, it's potential hazard. In the worse case, try deleting all of your grottos, you can make some later anyway.

Because furfoot didn't give complete info on the good maps, I thought I would. The following info is based off of the save located here: (http://dq9.ffsky.cn/etc/dq9famousmapssav.zip) that is mentioned in this Gamefaq thread. It is a Japanese save with all the famous Japanese maps.

Here is a list of all the best maps in the game: (location, map number 1, map number 2)

The Sapphire Glacier of Bane gave me Atlas instead of Greygnarl. Are there any other maps listed on here that have him as boss?

This note: (Great money farming map gem slimes for 10k per kill, Boss = Greygnarl) actually belongs with Emerald Snowhall of Hurt Level 81 and not Sapphire Glacier of Bane Level 81

I succeeded!!! I know why my search had a poor status and why Save Editor makes me freeze the game. In made when I released bonus quest with a cheatcode, the status of bonus quest that I have already had bug.
With Save Editor I just put status as unacquire, then delayed them as they had to be. And more worries.

You can make it yourself,just click "Devil" in the map editor.Legacy bosses grottoes can be ANYWHERE on the map.It's chosen when you obtain it with the DLC quests.


For the level,just type 99 and you're good to go.For the boss itself however,it's tough.You have to choose randomly a name.But with a few tries, i'm sure you'll find the good ones.

i edited my important items(i added 1 theifs key) and i clicked the floppy disk (save) but when i try it on my ds it doesn't work. i didn't get the items. can anyone help me. do i need to press something else before i click save.

How far are you in the game? Did you edit anything else? Are you using a clean dump? Are you using any cheat codes at all? Have you edited/cheated anything else in the game?

Is your game saved via Quick Save?

If so, you need to edit the Quick Save slot.

Ahh Fuck...
My PC is gay so everytime you plug something in it goes all shitty and says windows explorer is not working blah blah blah. This happened when I was transferring the file into my DS and damaged the SAV file. (I think, most possible since I've used this about twice before) So now everytime I finish a battle off the DS crashes and shows a black screen. That's it, any suggestions? I didn't back it up. Thanks.
