So what is the function of this? I know its for debugging but like I get to the black screen and quick save then nothing more happens at all. So I was wondering what else its able to do.

it might not work well on some flash cart
as far as i know you can do the following
-view a few cinematics
-delete your save
-character viewer
-monster viewer
can't remember too much about it..
