i have a couple of n3ds systems that both have a problem with the dpad. the up button on it takes pressure in order to work unlike the other 3. is there anything i can do, or will i have to buy some replacements?

Apologies for the mistaken. The d-pad you bought was marketed as n3DS, but it is meant for the n3DSXL. The two models have nearly identical looking d-pads at first glance except for the notch.
If the part fits and if you're good with hand drilling using something like this, you can try enlarging the holes to get them to align. However, to get good contact pressure you would need to add back washers that's thin, stiff, and small enough to fit between the screws and d-pad surface. Most likely candidate would be modifying neoprene washers.
After all said and done, it might be easier and cheaper to buy from the second link.
I've edited my post to remove the first d-pad listing.
um, its the n3ds xl i need. i might not have been clear as the n3ds in the us is xl only. that said, i ended up buying 2 of them and both are a bust because of it. its probably going to be a couple weeks before i can get the right ones for a reasonable price/time point. hope i can get a response from the seller regarding my options.

Oh, yeah about the 3DS models.. The US market was once sold the n3DS (regular) for brief moments, like the Super Mario Black & White editions during 2016 Black Friday.
If you need a replacement d-pad for the New 3DS XL,

To everyone: I don't know about Minecraft TL... and look up on internet and shocked me. I had on my computer last on Aug 20, 2024. and I forced delete TL out of it. Many people said TL have spyware in background. I will never touch TL again. It's scare me out of it. That's why I don't want to get hacked by hacker spy on me without permission. I have force move on to clean out what I know right now. Not easy for many kids, teens and adult never know what will happen after that. If anyone had Minecraft TL.... then delete them right now for safe reasons. Because of Russia love harvest all people info without their permission.
I assume you're referring to TLauncher before it was renamed? Yeah, it was an unofficial cracked alternative to the official Minecraft Launcher. I've heard it was pretty shifty before, but didn't look much further into it as I used Prism Launcher at the time.
Exactly! I don't know when I search on internet and found it out. It's freaking scare me out of it. Someone report TL did hide download malware to their computer without know.
