Hacking Downloaded .wads with 4.0

If I update to 4.0 using one of the guides here, is it going to let me move any .wads i downloaded to the sd and boot it from there? Will the wii know I didnt buy the game?

You have to patch IOS 60...that's included in most of the guides.

What I did (from memory, don't follow this!):

- Make sure Homebrew channel and cios36rev10 are installed.
- Update through online update normally
- Run IOS downgrader to readd the signing bug to all IOS's
- Install preloader for a tiny bit of brick protection + other features.
