So... that works only in the specific circumstance of loading the key from the 9.0 firmware? Not exactly future-proof :P

Does it still check for a slot0x05keyY from the SD if the FIRM retrieval doesn't work / doesn't yield the expected result?
Also, adding to this, entrypoints other than A9LH have never needed that key,

menu.c, function DrawMenu(), set top_screen to false (right at the top). Then recompile.
I tried running Decrypt9.bin through Luma CFW and it freezes when I make a selection. Same for .3dsx with homebrew launcher. I did try decrypt9ui as well but the gui won't load. Oddly enough it still appears in the screenshot I took.

On the first page, it says that Decrypt9 doesn't work as well as a CIA. I'm using BrowserHax to get to my EmuNAND, and I don't have a way right now to get to the Homebrew Launcher from EmuNAND easily. I do have FBI, so I can install CIA files.

I just want to be able to use this guide (http://gbatemp.net/threads/howto-fix-022-2634.422412/page-2) to fix my NNID and get eShop and stuff working again. To do that, I need Decrypt9 to back up and replace the files I need to edit. The first page shows that there are some CIA versions available, though. Would I be able to get this done if I use the CIA installed in EmuNAND?

You can install the homebrew launcher CIA on ur emunand. But d9 has to be launched from a 9.2 nand so I'm going to assume your sysnand. It will be able to mess with your emunand even though its launched from sysnand.

I've never used the cia version, so I don't know how reliable it is, but if you need a quick way to get into the homebrew menu from emunand, install this:

I was a bit worried about that. I used to have my EmuNAND set up through MenuHax, so it would launch automatically when I started the system. However, when I tried to fix my eShop access the first time with a different guide, I accidentally formatted my SysNAND by mistake and wiped out MenuHax entirely. For some reason, it didn't seem to want to reinstall, so I've been using BrowserHax. When I finish the games I'm playing now (just to be on the safe side in case I screw up again and wipe my save data) I'm going to install A9LH, so it'll auto-boot again.

Anyways, I've already got a Homebrew Launcher version of Decrypt9, so if it can access EmuNAND from there, I should be ready to go anyways. Thanks for the help.

You need to visit the themes menu so that the themes extdata gets rebuilt. after that you should be able to install menuhax again.

or just install a9lh since it's the better way to go anyway
