It should work fine on *hax 2.5... It WON'T however work with sky3ds, never has for some reason.
If it doesn't work with Sky3DS but with regular carts there you have an easy method of detecting Sky3DS, right in front of Nintendos noses :). I never understood how they could not have blocked Sky3DS yet.

Nintendo are lazy and would rather block pretty harmless homebrew instead. lol

To be honest, I'd be interested in doing a simple Sky3DS detector now (despite actually owning a Sky3DS). Won't do it, though, as people would get angry with me if I did :D.

By the way what should a CtrBootManager for Decrypt9 entry be? (e.g which loading offset should be specified)?
offset is 0x0...

@d0k3 you should probably stick this in the OP somewhere so we don't have to keep answering it lol
It's just like any other homebrew. No need for reminding people of the obvious.

Is it possible to decrypt a .3ds file? I get a message saying that it could not open the file, and that the files should go en /D9decrypt. I put the file there but it's not workings I'm using Shadowtrance release if that matters. Also, can I decrypt a .cia also? If yes, what are the steps?

Shadowtrances release is still not up to date. Use mine for now, and put the files (CIA/3DS) into either /D9game or /Decrypt9, your choice.

not sure about .3ds, but it is possible to decrypt CIAs, there should be an option in the decyption menu to decrypt CIAs... depending on the CIA you may need to do the shallow decrypt or deep decrypt, it'll tell you which one you need to do

EDIT: ninja'd

Faster this time :D. Well, if you want to fully decrypt it (aka cryptofix), choose CIA deep decryptor. The deep decryptor is the correct choice in most cases anyways. The shallow decryptor is only useful if you need the NCCH encrypted contents.

@d0k3 I was wondering if something could be added to your release(not sure if this has been asked before or not).

Sometimes when using your CIA Decryptor to cryptofix some CIAs I fix multiple CIAs at once which works fine, ocassionally like last night for example one of the CIAs fails to decrypt (due to a problem with the CIA, nothing to do with Decrypt9), if I haven't watched the process I have to look through the log on my sd card to see which one failed.
Would it be possible to make the top screen scrollable so the error can be viewed on the console?

One more question to save me going through the past posts - is the NCCH/NCSD Decryptor supposed to work on titles dumped via CDN to 3DS?
I have tried a few times with different titles & different Decrypt9 releases including the latest & I always end up with a white square instead of the game image on Gateway latest firmware & emuNAND

Gateway's red cart doesn't accept decrypted roms. You have to use them encrypted (either retail or development).

N3DS 9.1 Here.

I'm trying to dump Xorpads for region swapping but it fails citing a lack of "NCCHIFO.bin".
What is the most likely cause and how can it be resolved?
