yes I can dump FIRM0FIRM1 xorpad, twlnand xorpad and stuff like ticket.db and the CTRNAND itself
EDIT: CTRNAND actually failed didn't see it 10 minutes ago, it is still complaining that the SD is full and it seems that I can only dumps small files
Sorry, missed that. There is something strange with your SD card or with it's formatting... Maybe reformat it? Of course that would also mean backing up and restoring of all of your files.

Just wait, it will come back eventually. The problem here is that the FBI icon is still cached at this point. It will take a few reboots.
It's now been through tons of reboots and it's been almost a day. Is it supposed to take that long?

You can never tell... no idea how to force refreshing that cache. You could try swapping the hs.app back and forth again, maybe it will do something.

That ncchinfo.bin file is 'empty' (the few bytes it has is only the header), so it's most likely you did something wrong, or there is something wrong with your files. Try building the ncchinfo.bin again, maybe it's best to do it from the command line instead of drag & dropping, so you catch error messages if there are.

I ran both SEEDconv v6 and ncchinfo_gen.py in command line with the following commands: "seedconv.exe seedsave_emu.bin" and "ncchinfo_gen.py seeddb.bin". The only think that came up for ncchinfo_gen.py was "Done!", but when I ran SEEDconv it gave me a few lines of text which I've included as an image. I've also attached the new ncchinfo.bin file and the log file for Decrypt9WIP if that helps.

Oh well... What exactly is it that you are trying to do here? You need to use ncchinfo_gen.py with the 3DS / NCCH files that you want to generate XORpads for. I'd recommend you have a look at the readme and / or your tutorial of choice before moving on.

Icon cache is stored in home menu extdata, which can be found on SD card. Title IDs are 00000098, 0000008f or 00000082.
Deleting it will refresh whole home menu (icons, themes, all installed apps will be wrapped as presents again, etc).

Could you possible link me to the image files from the D9UI folder before they got turned into .bins?
I can't no, because i haven't uploaded all the raw images anywhere.

I will update this later though to reflect the latest menu changes.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You need to make your own base images first though and the generator does the rest.
As for the progress / work complete / failed etc images, i did those manually in photoshop.

Yes, but you can't see anything at all...
Would it be possible to do a stripped down version of Decrypt9 for A9LH with the one and only purpose to recover a messed up nand?

Since it is not yet possible to access the screen while launching from a9lh, could we have feedback with the LEDs or audio?

I think of 2 ways to make the launch of such a silent recover relative secure. You have to press a specific button combo while booting, or there must be a specific named file on the sdcard to confirm the start of the recover process. Or both. After nand recovering the 3ds should stutdown to know that it's ready.
It could be a first step to be not dependent on a hardmod.

Possible or nonsense?

You're correct, you can use it on 9.2 EmuNAND, no problem. If it starts, it will work.
Wanted to poke back in here and say that I tested it (by backing up SysNAND and restoring it to EmuNAND, with it run from EmuNAND) and it worked as expected.
While you probably don't need/care to hear this, wanted to toss it in this thread as personal confirmation.

We already thought about doing this... @dark_samus3 was there any progress? Good point about having that specific file on the SD card + a button combo! Would you be willing to test such a tool? I don't have a hardmod.

I always appreciate feedback, thankyou!

Thanks! I don't have a hardmod too and I would feel better, if someone with a hardmod would test it
But nice to hear, this could become real.
