What should I do to copy over my saves from jksm? Should I copy the contents of the folder JKSV on the old SD card to the same folder on the new SD card?
And should I get the games from freeshop before I transfer the saves or after?

Yah, copy that JKSV folder over to the new card. Install the smaller games first, restore their saves in small batches, and play them. You'll quickly notice any problems along the way in doing this instead of installing all the games at once and then restoring all the saves. This way if you catch any titles with bad restores through JKSM, you go straight to Checkpoint for another attempt.

quick update: I just tested it with pokemon yellow, and it worked! I played my save from the old sd card on the new one! thank you TurdPooCharger! ill restore the rest now.

this isn't really related to the rest of the thread, but is it safe to update to 11.7? ive been looking online but I cant find a definitive answer. is it safe for B9S users(like me)

Yes 100% safe. The 11.7 update was just some licencing updates and stuff because of the EU changes. It's a really small fast update.

Yes I have the serial number ones. But my old SD card does have the essential.exefs.

You can extract essential.exefs by using the "Build support files" script which is in the More section of the GM9 HOME menu.

From the guide:

Update your device by going to System Settings, then “Other Settings”, then going all the way to the right and using “System Update”

• Updates while using B9S + Luma (what you have) are safe
