Homebrew Downgrading on a old eur 3ds

Is downgrading from 10.4 the same steps asdowngrading from 10.6 to 9,2? And what is the safest method to do it or shall i wait a month? Or hasanyone proof with 10.4 downgradong?

Yes, it's the same method.

The difference? You can use browserhax as an entry point on 10.4.

i would reccomend using browserhax to install menuhax. then boot menuhax and start sysupdater. there is a simple guide here somewhere, but i'm to lazy to find the link

Download 9.2 (for your region and system) place the update folder on the root of your SD card, boot into menuhax and run safesysupdater, then downgrade.

it is safer than the normal sysupdater with svchax/memchunkhax3/memchunkhax2.1 (all the same, but under a different name) if you are not completely sure on what firmware packs to use. the "safe" version checks if the packs are the same region and model as your 3ds.

There's always that small chance you will brick or get a frankenfirmware.

If you soft brick, update to 10.6 through safe mode, then try downgrading again.
If you get a frankenfirmware, run sysupdater again.

Nothing gets deleted, so your stuff will be fine.

You could try using save tools to backup your saves and inport them when ur done

Wifi doesn't make a diffrent but let it be on just to be sure, you can put emunand on after downgrading

you shouldn't use safesysupdater to downgrade it has a high chance of softbricking your console, just use the svchax/memchunk 2.1 regular sysupdater to downgrade and use the safe one to check the integrity of your update files.
