Hardware Downgraded to 9.2, R button problems.

I had just bought a used N3DS off ebay, blah blah. Broken game slot, who cares. But, the buttons have been fine until..I downgraded it to 9.2. For some reason, the R button is now considered to always being pressed, the instant I load the home menu. I opened the 3DS, and noticed the ribbon cable was a tad bit lose. I fixed it and re-closed it. But, it's still messed up. Has the downgrade caused an issue with the button? Is that even possible?

that is not possible, I would replace the R and L buttons

I sent it back to the person. The button's were just fucked.
