I might need to say my message were very sarcastic. The Switch 2 isn't even out. It haven't been hacked so it's impossible to tell what can and cannot be done to it.

I guess it's because some people saw an image of the switch 2 homescreen, which looks almost the same as the switch 1, so they think it can be done.

Really, I don't get how someone might think of this, this would be like trying to get FF XVI to work on ps4 since the ui on the ps5 looks similar. My opinion? it won't ever work since switch 2 has more powerful hardware and it also kinda emulates switch 1, so I don't think it's possible even if we know how the system works

the dev team took a few extra beta testers on Friday. Theyre changing gears and porting Switch 2 OS to Switch 1.

- Games on Switch 2 will expect around 10 GB of RAM, which means extensive patching of executable and assets to fit into 3.25 GB (or 6.5 GB if you have 8 GB RAM mod)
- Cortex A78C is ARMv8.3 core while A57 is ARMv8.2 core. Which means some instructions are not intercompatible between Switch and Switch 2.
- Whole shader recompiling issue comes forth
- Any OS/NVN call exclusive to Switch 2 would need to be hooked and be properly processed

Sometimes it's a virtue to simply think before posting since the first point should be obvious for anybody. And people are paid a lot of money to do the first point - downscaling games from big consoles to small consoles with access to much better resources than modders and hackers.
