Homebrew Doom homebrew crashes randomly

So i noticed there was a doom game inside the homebrew starter pack, and i tried playing it, i manage to beat level 1 but every time i get to level 2, i can't finish it. It always freezes. The freeze are random and never consistent. But it happens only on level 2 and it never lets me complete the level. Is this normal?

Could be your DOOM wad file. Or just get another copy of prdoom from somewhere else.

The homebrew i got was in the starter.zip that has the homebrew loader boot.3ds with a assortment of homebrew. If you saying my files are corrupt then the starter.zip hosted corrupt files.

I have the cia version of prboom, and there's a level where it always crashes (not the same level as you), I think it may be because the 3DS runs out of memory, but it's only a guess.

Are you talking about yeti 3ds? As far as I know prboom3ds is not included in the homebrew starter pack. Can you confirm the name of the program you are having an issue with and where you got it from?

An old version of prboom was/is included in the starter pack.

For me, it crashed when you first get the radiation suit. What I did to fix was just not pick it up. I would suggest not doing whatever you did before it froze and then making a save after you get passed that part.

Is fine now, I downloaded the 0.2v one and it seem to not crash after stage 3, but now i can't run or use a map. X and Y buttons seem to do nothing but the nice weapons switch for new 3ds ZL ZR is nice. Also i can't use analog stick, Wonder how a update messed up button configuartion?

For some reason there is a list of 3 episodes to play (I think) When i select one of the other two, it says that i cannot play it.
"This is the shareware version of doom. You need to order the entire triology." I am not sure what that means but how do i "order" the episodes to play for a homebrew?

Pirate the full doom.wad and replace the one already there. Homebrew just runs doom.wad.

The only wad files I know are the ones used for installing wii channels like wii ware and virtual console. O_O

Prboom3ds is a port of the doom engine. The data files from the original pc game are required to play. This is the 90s version of doom not the current version of doom.
