Never heard of libgdx, i'll have to google that. I assume its something similar to what I used... http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz/

Yea just java based (and you need a Mac/xamarin for iOS and xamarin license is $400 (no way around it that I've found so far)) But if one of your projects makes ~$500 I would say its worth the investment if you are most proficient with java. (Which it seems your more of a c++ style fan )
