so for now i updated my wiikey to 1.99b (nsmb update) and 1-5 is working!! puuuhhh....

Damn it! Now it says in Level 2-2 "Disc could not be read." Seems that wiikey 1.99b is not enough for this game

PLEASE HELP ME!!! can someone please upload his savegame???? Level 2-2 must be already beaten, how far you´ve gone after this point doesn´t matter. That would be really nice!!!

Underwater Levels

I guess y'all didn't hear: the underwater levels were cut! The designers felt that they were too slow. They interrupted the momentum of the game.

No underwater levels in DKCR. But hey, nothin' stoppin' us from enjoying the original ones on SNES, right?

First i have to say a big big big THANKS to ZaMaster, who has uploaded his savegame for me! I really aprecciate this!!

Now i can confirm, that level 2-2 and 2-3 are not playable with my wiikey (tested ALL firmwares). Every Level beyond this point (tested until 3-6) is Playable!!

One question: Do i need all the puzzle pieces to see all level of the game? or are they just for the "picture gallery" (is it spellt right like this? i´m playing the game in german

).

Indeed, you have to get all the puzzle pieces to get to the extra levels. I'll try to get them tonight, and will upload the save again

I uploaded the new save file for you. Btw I just completed the game. Last couple of levels are a bit harder, but still manageable. Final boss can be hard at first, but there are some easy tricks to bypass most of his moves. I still think King K. Rool is a lot harder, especially the DKC3 iteration.

Just to say thanks for the cheat code for the B button - makes it so much easier to play IMHO.

Running from my HDD, I get an issue on the first rocket barrel stage in world two where, after getting in the rocket, the game loses connection with the controller and eventually freezes.

Is there a fix for this?

Wait for PAL and Update than!

No Problem for US Wiikeys, but as ure a PAL User, u should wait for PAL Release and Update than ( i supose this weekend).

To Update with a Modchip and no Softmods is no Problem.

when i load the game the text is in japanese
even though i have the us version of the game

but that just makes the wii reset itself while trying to load

I just finished the NTSC version on my PAL Wii, but its at 87%. And I don't really have the time to go back and get all the puzzle pieces/K-O-N-G... but I am curious about the Golden Temple.

this game is F*king hard. espacially those railroad tracks and barrel jet stages.

and yes the motion control is annoying.

but thanks to ocarina cheats, ive set the B button for Smash/roll and diddy kong to have longer jetpack time. now the game became more fun than annoying.
