I kind of hate that animation style. And it's like 4 FPS.
The Lego movies could get away with it because it was stop motion, this doesn't look like stop motion, so what's their excuse?

Lego movies are 100% CGI, not stop motion.

The choppy low-framerate animation seems to be a trend with comic book cartoons recently, Spiderverse is like that, or TMNT Mutant Mayhem, etc, along with other comic book visual language like smeary colors, sketchy backgrounds, hand-scrawled everything.

Dog Man is also wonky in the original comic, and also has two-page flip-book animations in every comic that move at literal 4 frames per second because you can't flip any faster. So the cartoon has a reason to look janky in tribute.
