Hacking does vita-activator still work

I have a 3.60 vita (second hand) which is not activated.
I made an account on psn but still I can't activate without updating to 3.6x.

Now I read there is a vita-activator.pvk. Does that still work now that Sony doesn't support 3.60 anymore and that spoofing is of the table?

- i don't have a ps3
- I want to use qcma

It didn't work for me. It complained about something being bad.
I ended up using the PS3 method (thank god I had one).
Best bet would be asking around and see if a friend has a PS3 that you can use.
