If YouTube taught people anything about Nintendo is that they love to be in control of what's theirs so this will be no different.

But it makes sense why they would strike it down. Pokemon is a profitable franchise, and they don't want anyone taking their money. Further evidencing this is how Earthbound or Mother-related material will NOT get struck (they even learned about the Mother 4 fan game, and they said "ech do what yeh went huehuehue"). Mother is no longer a profitable franchise. There will be no more mother games, and Nintendo is no longer actually retailing the thing.

Maybe this is further proof that Mother 3 won't get localized.
