Hacking Does region matter for online play?

hello all, sorry to double post this but i wasnt able to delete my other post.

I have a backed up copy of medal of honor 2, but it is pal, and i live in north america.

Will i be able to use the online play? or do i need a usa version?.

Also, should i regionfrii? im on a d2ckey

Online works fine, I have a Pal Wii and I've played the US version online a few times.

But... why not just get the US version?

Well works fine yes.
But some games are restricted so you only play with people with the same version of the game like you to prevent laq.
