Does Neek2o only load back ups from a FAT32/32kb formatted device? This limits the back up file size.

Any way around this?

I ask because I'd like to try getting Okami to load with Wiiflow in EmuNand as an ISO.

For some reason Wiiflow in EmuNand seems to think my dumps, both PAL and NTFS which I converted to wbfs, aren't Wii games.

The dumps work, but only in a roundabout way because I have a Japanese Wii. I have to load it up with my Wode and then while running boot it with Gecko. I just want to try to get it to run from EmuNand so I can boot it up without having to get off the couch and fiddle with the little Wode joystick.

wiiflow in emuNAND?
Are you loading USBLoaders after launching neek?

When you are in neek, if you want to launch a game you have to use the Disc channel, not USBLoaders+cIOS installed on EmuNAND.
To mount a game on the disc channel, you need to press some wiimote buttons while in system menu to display a menu and select the game to emulate the disc drive with. The game will use the official IOS instead of cIOS.

If I recall correctly, neek2o accept wbfs file to be mounted, so you don't have any file size limitation on FAT32. You don't need to load .iso files.

I never used neek2o, so I may be wrong.

ModMii, which creates the Nand and forwarder channel, also installs a version of WiiFlow automatically. I assume this is the way back ups are to be loaded.

In any case, as far as I know the EmuNand requires FAT32 just to boot up.

NEEK2O isn't designed to work with usb loaders. Press 1 on the wiimote at the home menu and a list of games will come up. Select one with A.
I don't know why ModMii installs wiiflow onto neek2o. I guess it could be useful for emulators, but it's not meant for loading backups on neek2o.

Can't you use WodeFlow?

Earlier versions of ModMii Emunand are bundled with Joyflow with Emunand and that works (though I dont really used it). I guess later versions bundled with WiiFlow as it runs with ios58; but I dont know if it requires a ciso to run games.
Like I said before, the best way is to use a clean Nand (with no cios) and use the build in DI module (pressing 1) to run games (once you ran a game, it will appear on the disc channel of the Emunand and stays there until you run another game via DI.
Some games (like TinTin adventures) will not run if you install any cios or run them through loaders.

Thanks! I didn't know that. I'll give that a try then.

Can I ask another question? What is the EmuNand selection on most USB loaders on my real Nand?

you will have to be more precise.
which loader, and which option?

USBLoaderGX has two options related to EmuNAND:
- save
-channel

The emuNAND Save is used to save your savegame to SD or USB (on an emuNAND path) instead of saving it in the Wii memory.
The emuNAND channel is used to launch channels installed on emuNAND directly from realNAND (you don't need neek2o). But not all games are working.

If you are referring to another setting, please be more specific.

it's used to launch Wiiware from the loader.
most games works, so why bother with neek method if you don't want to play a game working only in neek?

The more options there are, the more users are happy. Everyone choose the method which suite them better.
If you prefer neek, use it and don't worry about other method.
if you don't need neek, use the EmuNAND Channel/Triforce/MightlyChannel method.

I never used neek2o as I don't play a lot. I played only two wiiware games, and using the internal EmuNAND option in USBLoaderGX was good enough for me.

When I try to select one with A, it just goes back to the menu screen. Nothing I do seems to launch the game.

Meanwhile it's demanding that I update, and warns that if I do it may detect unauthorized software and remove it.

So what's the next step? Update?

your emuNAND might not be on latest version?
if it asks to update it's because you dont have all the IOSes or are using an old system menu version compared to the one requested by the game (or located on the update partition).
if you mount games in wbfs format, it shouldn't have the partition format and shouldn't ask you to update.

It asks for a system update before I even mount a game. The disk channel on the EmuNand menu says "system update" as soon at the menu starts.

In any case I created the EmuNand with the latest version of ModMii, and in settings in the EmuNand it says it's 4.3U.

If you press 2 then + a couple of times you should see an option menu with Priiloader hacks. Enable the one to block system update on the disc channel. Then reboot. After this you will be able to load a game via the sneek menu and it will show up in the disc channel.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.
