If I were to get a cheap 2GB microSD, would it be adequate for using the DS & M3 Simply as an MP3/ogg player? Has anyone had problems with music playback that were caused by a slow card?

Also, what's the lowest price you've seen for a 2 gig card?

no, the speed won't matter.

prices

I bought my Transcend 2gig miroSD from them....should receive it today. I also bought my 2gig Transcend miniSD from them and haven't ran into any issues with it yet.

Did you notice the parts and labor support on the A-Data card? 277 years.

I think the speed moonshell streams those files are miniscule compared to the lowest speed ratings of micro sd cards today so it shouldn't be an issue.

It's better to get four 1GB cards instead of one 4GB card. That way, in case you lose/break/corrupt one card, you still have 3 left.

True, but then you would need to keep track of which files are on which card, and that's not compatible with my laziness. Especially if all four cards are the same brand, and all look exactly the same.

Just ordered 2 more 1GB microSD yesterday because one wasn't enough for me. Probably going to use one for games, one for music, and one for DPGs. Anyone know where to get a case that can carry multiple microSD cards?

check dealhack.com for good prices. buy.com and meritline have deals on 1 gb and 2 gb cards for around $10 all the time.

It works but it's a hassle to carry four cards that's smaller than your fingernail with you. Also keep changing the card will damage your spring which is a bad thing.

Make a microSD card holder out of a GBA game case (or the dust cover), and keep them all in Slot2

Very interesting suggestion. Will look more into that soon.
